How to deal with the "leakage" of pipeline valves?

The best way to deal with the "leakage, bubbling, dripping and leaking" of pipeline valves is to prevent them before they happen. How to find problems and avoid accidents before the valve fails? Then, the following points need to be done:


Prevent valves from leaking water and steam

1. All valves must be subjected to different levels of water pressure tests after entering the factory.

2. Valves that need to be disassembled for inspection must be ground.

3. During the overhaul process, it is necessary to carefully check whether packing has been added and whether the packing gland is tightened.

4. Before installing the valve, it is necessary to check whether there is dust, sand, iron oxide and other debris inside the valve. If there are any of the above debris, they must be cleaned before installation.

5. All valves must be equipped with gaskets of corresponding grades before installation.

6. When installing the flange door, the fasteners must be tightened, and when tightening the flange bolts, they must be tightened in symmetrical directions in sequence.

7. During the valve installation process, all valves must be installed correctly according to the system and pressure. Random installation and mixed installation are strictly prohibited. For this reason, all valves must be numbered according to the system before installation and records must be kept.


Prevent oil system leakage and oil leakage

1. Systems with oil storage tanks must be carefully inspected and cleaned before installation.

2. Equipment with oil coolers must be subjected to water pressure tests.

3. Oil pipeline systems must also be subjected to water pressure tests and pickling.

4. During the installation of oil pipelines, all flange interfaces or threaded flexible joints must be equipped with oil-resistant rubber pads or oil-resistant asbestos pads.

5. The leakage points of the oil system are mainly concentrated on flanges and threaded flexible joints, so the bolts must be tightened evenly when installing flanges. Prevent leakage or looseness.

6. During the oil filtering process, construction personnel must always stick to their posts and are strictly prohibited from leaving their posts and visiting other posts.

7. The oil filter must be shut down when replacing the oil filter paper.

8. When installing the temporary oil filter connection pipe (high-strength plastic transparent hose), the joint must be tied firmly with lead wire to prevent the oil filter from jumping off and leaking oil after a long period of operation.

9. Assign construction personnel with strong sense of responsibility to supervise the work of the oil filter.

10. Before the auxiliary oil system starts oil circulation, the engineering department organizes a detailed technical briefing for the personnel responsible for the auxiliary oil circulation.


Prevent bubbles, bubbling, dripping and leakage on the joint surface between equipment and pipe fittings

1. Flange gaskets above 2.5Mpa are all made of metal winding gaskets.

2. Flange gaskets of 1.0Mpa-2.5Mpa are made of asbestos gaskets and painted with black lead powder.

3. The flange gaskets of water pipes below 1.0Mpa are made of rubber gaskets and painted with black lead powder.

4. The packings of water pumps are all made of PTFE composite packing.

5. For the sealing parts of smoke and wind coal pipelines, the asbestos rope used is twisted once and flattened to join the joint surface. It is strictly forbidden to add it forcefully after tightening the screws.


Prevent valve leakage

1. During pipeline installation and construction, a good quality awareness must be established, and the oxidized iron sheet and the inner wall of the pipeline must be cleaned without leaving any debris.

2. First of all, ensure that 100% of the valves entering the site must be subjected to water pressure test.

3. Valve grinding should be carried out carefully. All valves (except imported valves) must be sent to the grinding team for disassembly, inspection, grinding and maintenance, and responsibilities must be implemented. Records and labels should be made consciously for easy traceability. Important valves should be listed in detail for secondary acceptance, and the requirements of "stamping, inspection and record keeping" should be met.

4. The first water gate and discharge gate of the boiler should be determined in advance. Only these valves are allowed to be opened during the water pressure test, and other valves must not be opened at will, so as to protect the valve core.

5. When flushing the pipeline, open it wide and close it gently to prevent damage to the door core.
